Immediately following my freshman year at Iowa State University I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to intern at Genesis Systems Group.
Located in Davenport Iowa, the automation company works within the automotive and aerospace industry to provide custom robotic integration solutions. With my background being in aerospace I was assigned to the group associated with the industry. Through my work over the course of my term I had the chance to work in areas involving non-destructive engineering, robotic manipulation, as well as the design/re-design process.
Through this experience I can say I learned more about the work I am able to put forth as well as the problems I am able to solve. I became more confident in my skills as a member of a company as well as an engineer.
